Porcelain stoneware is a special type of ceramic product that combines the highest levels of technical features to a particularly prestigious appearance.
The areas of application in the building industry are multiple, both as flooring and coatings, both as indoor and outdoor. The slabs can be realized in various thicknesses and different formats.
The products satisfy the technical specifications defined by the European standard EN 14411 and International ISO 13006, according to criteria established by method ISO 10545 - International Organization for Standardization Specifications for Ceramic Tile.
Mineral raw materials used are mainly of three types: clay, quartz and feldspar. They come in part directly from the quarries and in part from recycled materials, mainly pre-consumer materials (for example fired-waste from the ceramic and sanitary sectors, properly selected and grinded, ceramic waste from other factories).
The range of products included in this EPD includes the following collections (thickness 10 mm, formats 60x60 cm and 30X60 cm) within trademarks GRANITIFIANDRE, EIFFELGRES, FMG, IRIS and ARIOSTEA, manufactured in the groups’ factories located in Fiorano Modenese (MO), Sassuolo (MO) and Viano (RE).
