Acoustical systems solutions (sub-oriented PCR; appendix to PCR 2012:01) - previously Acoustic ceilings

Office Demountable Partitions

by: Ivan Martinet (i.martinet@clestra.com) 11 May 2016, 11:13:26 AM (GMT +1)

Hello,
should we use this PCR to create an EPD on office
demountable partitions (glass partitions, steel partitions,
wood partitions, etc.)?
I believe office interior partitions can be described as
acoustical system solutions as they contribute to improve
the acoustical performance for the indoor environment, so
we should be able to use this Appendix in my opinion.

Thanks!

Hello Ivan,

Is the product in question defined as a construction product according to European Construction Regulations?

Best regards,

Hello Kristian,
yes, it is defined as a construction product. It's got the
CE marking and has been tested according to the
European Technical Agreement 003 (Internal Partition
Kits for Use as Non-loadbearing Walls).

Best regards,

Hello Ivan,

In that case, the PCR 2012:01 (and possibly in addition with this appendix) should be applicable to make an EPD of this type of product.
Best regards,
