 Sven-Olof

Sven-Olof Ryding, PhD and Ass.Prof. in system ecology at the University of Uppsala, is a Board Member of the EPD International AB and founder of the International EPD®system.

 

He works a Senior Scientific Advisor at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and EPD International and has been involved in several activities related to LCA standardization and making practical use of LCA-information for different market applications.

 Filippo Sessa

Filippo Sessa is Sustainability Consultant at Quantis, a global company leader in sustainability and LCA services, consulting and tools. He has a broad experience with LCA, environmental declarations and he also took part in the PEF/OEF pilot phase launched by the European Commission. Since January 2017 he is chair of the Technical Committee of the International EPD System.

Kristian Jelse

Kristian Jelse is the programme manager of the International EPD® System.

 

He joined the Secretariat in 2013, and has worked previously worked as an LCA practitioner in research and consultancy projects. He has a MSc. in Industrial Ecology from Chalmers University of Technology.

 Gareth Sammons Gareth Sammons is WSP’s BREEAM Team manager. With over 17 yrs experience of research and consultancy in the fields of sustainable construction and Building Certification.

 

He has an MSc in Environmental Science, Planning and Policy and is a Licensed BREEAM Assessor and Accredited Professional. In his early career he was part of the BREEAM development and certification team at BRE Global Ltd.

 Tanja Brockmann
Dr.-Ing. Tanja Brockmann is Head of section Construction and Environment in Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) Berlin since 2008

 

She is working for over 20 years with research on building materials. In BBSR within the framework of the German Assessment System for Sustainable Building (BNB) she is responsible for building materials and LCA related data and tools as database ÖKOBAUDAT, building LCA calculation tool eLCA, and information platform WECOBIS. International harmonization of the use of EPD data and LCA are further key interests.

 Trine Dyrstad Petterssen

Trine Dyrstad Petterssen, PhD is the Technical Director of Construction Products Norway.

 

As previous researcher and technical director of a housing company with focus on energy efficient and sustainable buildings, she is now working with the products used in such buildings. Correct and efficient use of environmental declaration is now one of the tasks – where digitalisation is the key. She has a PhD on Energy in buildings from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

 Claudia Peña

Claudia A. Peña worked in industrial sustainability and LCA for 20 years at the Research Center for Mining and Metallurgy, also collaborating with UNEP-SETAC LCA initiatives in various working groups, as well as with the International Resource Panel (UNEP IRP) in the areas of energy and metal flows and stocks.

 

At present, she is Director of Sustainability at ADDERE Research & Technology. She is in charge of different projects and initiatives for public and private organizations in the area of sustainable consumption and production, eco-efficiency and environmental footprints. Claudia is currently the Co-Director of the Latin American Hub of the International EPD System.

Elin Eriksson

Elin Eriksson is Director at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and the Chair of the Board of Directors at EPD International.

 

Working with LCA and its applications since 1990, she has been the Swedish representative in the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) during the EU Product Environmental Footprint pilot phase.
