Fiberglass Yarn - EC9 68 Z28
Saint-Gobain Vetrotex produces textile glass fiber materials for use in very diverse applications, mainly in the technical textile field. The product range includes E-glass single yarns, voluminized yarns, texturized yarns, multifilament fiber (cakes,Zerotwist® rovings (Direct roving from 68 to 200 Tex and Direct roving (> 200 Tex))), , textile chopped strands (wet and dry) and C-glass staple fiber yarn.
Fiberglass yarns consist of a defined number of E-Glass filaments of a certain nominal diameter, brought together to form a yarn. The structure of the yarn is fixed and protected by a size and a slight twist, generally in Z-direction.
The fiberglass yarns are wound on plastic bobbins and supplied in a “milk bottle” shape. Vetrotex glass yarns can be also supplied on beams. The glass composition meets the certification for E-Glass as defined by ASTM’s D578-00 Standard Specification for fiberglass filaments.
