Clim@Add®
The building material additive Clim@Add® consists primarily of technical carbon based on pyrolyzed biomass (FSC-certified residual forest wood). It is a technical carbon material that can be used to re-duce the product carbon footprint (PCF) of cement-based building materials. The highly porous struc-ture and the high specific surface area result in special product properties in concrete, e.g. high com-pressive strength and high water retention capacity. The technical carbon Clim@Add® is considered harmless, is inert and can always be reintegrated into material cycles. Due to the various types of dis-tribution as Clim@Add ultra-fine with 25-35 % moisture, Clim@Add granulate with 45-55 % moisture and Clim@Add slurry, this EPD applies to the basic product Clim@Add as a dry mass.
