Bituminous emulsions C70BP, C69BP, C67BP, C65BP and C60BP from Vilnius binder plant of AB “Eurovia Lietuva”

The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) covers bituminous emulsions, specifically types C70BP, C69BP, C67BP, C65BP and C60BP, produced at the Vilnius binder plant of AB “Eurovia Lietuva.” These emulsions are specialized construction materials used in road pavement applications.

They are created by dispersing fine particles of bitumen into water using emulsifiers and additives. The products are divided into categories based on their intended use, such as:

Surface dressing: C70BP3-PA-1, C70BP3-PA-2, C69BP3-PA-1 and C69BP3-PA-2 are used in road maintenance aimed to prolonging the life of pavements and improving their skid resistance

Tack coat for thin asphalt layers bonding on waterproofing sublayer: C67BP4-PAS-H is used to bond thin asphalt layers to waterproofing sublayers in various types of construction, particularly in roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure projects where moisture protection and durability are crucial.

Chip Seal: C67BP3-PB and C60BP4-PB are applied for spraying and spreading aggregate for pavement surface sealing.

Slurry surfacing: C65BP6-ŠL is applied to produce slurry seal, which is a mixture of bitumen emulsion, fine aggregates, water, and additives, applied to a distressed road surface to provide a new, smooth, and durable wearing layer.

Tack Coat (Layer Bonding): C60BP4-S is used to bond layers in road construction.

The emulsions are tailored to ensure stability, viscosity, and adhesiveness during storage and transport. They are produced with high precision, using automated systems to maintain consistent quality. The main components are bitumen, water, and additives, with no hazardous materials or packaging involved.
