Low Relaxed Pre-stressed concrete (LRPC) Wire

7 wire low relaxation strand for prestressing of concrete (LRPC Strand) is comprised of 6 high tensile wires wrapped around a central wire. It is thermo- mechanically processed to ensure the wires do not unravel. It is used in construction of concrete structures where pre-stressing is required to counter tensile loads acting during the lifetime – such as girders for road, river & railway bridges and flyovers, domes of atomic reactor, silos, hangars, queducts, LNG terminals, slabs of high-rise buildings, rock anchoring, windmills towers, viaducts and railway sleepers.
