The product is mainly used for underground power distribution systems in industrial plants, substations, and infrastructure projects that require reliable and heavy-duty electrical transmission. It is also suitable for environments where flame-retardant and low-smoke characteristics are critical, such as public buildings, tunnels, and underground networks.
The product consists of an aluminum conductor, class 2 stranded, with a cross-sectional area of 400 sq.mm, providing balanced power transmission in a 3.5-core configuration. Each core is insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which offers high resistance to electrical, thermal, and environmental stresses. The insulation system is designed for a voltage grade of 1100 V, with a thermal rating of 90°C during continuous operation and up to 250°C under short-circuit conditions.
The insulated conductors are enclosed in an inner sheath made of PVC or an equivalent compound, which provides mechanical protection and prevents moisture ingress. For additional mechanical strength, the cable is armoured with galvanized steel armour, ensuring protection against physical and mechanical damage. The entire assembly is covered with an outer sheath made of PVC FRLS (Flame Retardant Low Smoke), which reduces fire risk and minimizes smoke emission in the event of a fire.
The product is suitable for fixed installation and is designed to deliver safe, durable, and efficient power transmission under demanding operating conditions.
