Electrical Steel Coil

Electrical steel coils (or sheets) are specialized products with distinct electromagnetic properties. Due to the addition of silicon as a primary alloying element, they were traditionally referred to as “silicon steel sheets.” However, the current emphasis is on their guaranteed electromagnetic performance, hence the term “electrical steel sheets” is now more commonly used.

Based on the crystallographic texture of the steel, electrical steel can be categorized into grain-oriented and non-oriented types. China Steel Corporation (CSC) produces non-oriented electrical steel coils.
