Precast concrete products for paving and flooring

Paving blocks (UNE-EN 1338 and UNE 127338): Precast pieces made of mass concrete, usually two-layer, which can come in a multitude of sizes and formats. Any cross-section at a distance of 50 mm from any of the edges of the paver, shall not have a horizontal dimension less than 50 mm. In addition, the total length divided by the thickness will be less than or equal to four.

Paving flags (UNE-EN 1339 and UNE 127339): Precast concrete unit used as paving material (indoor or outdoor) that meets the following conditions: its total length does not usually exceed 1 m; its length divided by its thickness is greater than 4.

They generally have a square or rectangular format and are divided between large-format and small-format pieces.

Terrazzo tiles for external use (UNE-EN 13748-2 and UNE 127748-2): Concrete tiles used in outdoor pavements in which the surface layer leaves the aggregates visible. The visible or footprint layer is composed of cement, marble, inorganic pigments and crushed marble, granite or hard stones. In this product the decorative aspect of the flooring is predominant and its manufacturing methods ensure a wide variety of range with short manufacturing series. The dimensions are in the order of the classification of concrete tiles.

Terrazzo tiles for internal use (UNE-EN 13748-1 and UNE 127748-1): Concrete tiles used on interior floors in which the surface layer leaves the aggregates visible. The visible or footprint layer is composed of cement, marble, inorganic pigments and crushed marble, granite or hard stones. In this product the decorative aspect of the flooring is predominant and its manufacturing methods ensure a wide variety of range with short manufacturing series. For indoor use, surface finishing treatments are usually required on site.

Kerb units (UNE-EN 1340 and UNE 127340): Precast mass concrete element with a prismatic section that, individually or in combination with other units, is intended to separate surfaces of the same or different levels to provide confinement or physical or visual delimitation, and separation between surfaces subject to different types of traffic, such as, for example, roads, pavements, cycle paths, gardens, etc. They are also used as surface drainage elements.

Floor slats for livestock (UNE-EN 12737): Suitable soil component used mainly in livestock facilities, located above a slurry channel or conduit and equipped with openings for the drainage of slurry, food or straw remains into the channel below.

Other elements for paving and floorin: Any other precast concrete element used for the design and construction of paving and floorings, which does not fall within the above definitions.
