V&G Passive posts

Varley & Gulliver passive traffic sign supports have been developed to minimise the damage caused to a vehicle and its occupants in the event of a collision. The posts are anti-climb and have non-energy absorbing qualities which have little effect on the speed of a vehicle, which presents a lower risk of injury to the vehicle occupants. The posts are designed to shear or breakaway on vehicle impact and are multi-directional, providing the same performance if impacted from any angle. Passive supports are made of aluminium and available in a wide range of sizes and because an additional safety barrier is not required, passive posts offer a considerable saving on costs. Damaged posts are easily unbolted from the baseplate for replacement.
