Triple glazed timber-aluminium door
A Danish-style door is an outward-opening timber or timber-aluminium exterior door designed to close building entrances and openings, providing security, thermal performance, and weather resistance. The door consists of a frame and door leaf, an infill (an insulating glass unit and/or a panel), seals/gaskets, and hardware (hinges, a lock case and locking system, handle set, and, if required, additional locks). The door also includes exterior aluminium cladding, which improves weather resistance and reduces maintenance needs. There are two main door types: glazed doors and panelled doors, and combination designs are also possible where the door includes both glazing and panels. The door can be supplied with either a mahogany threshold or a composite threshold.
