Aluminium Extruded Profiles GEX R 100%

GEX-R 100% is Gulf Extrusion’s premium range of aluminium profiles made entirely from 100% scrap. Only scrap from the same alloy series is used, ensuring that the billets match the performance and quality of primary aluminium. This product line delivers high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and dimensional precision while offering a significantly reduced environmental footprint through full scrap utilization. Aluminium extruded profiles are high-precision components produced by forcing preheated aluminium billets through custom-engineered steel dies under high pressure, forming continuous lengths with intricate and consistent cross-sectional shapes. For GEX R 100%, the billets are made entirely from 100% scrap, combining pre-consumer scrap from manufacturing operations and post-consumer scrap recovered from end-of-life aluminium products. Unlike regular billets that are primarily made from primary aluminium sourced from smelters, these 100% scrap billets utilize material that has already been processed once, significantly reducing the demand for virgin aluminium and lowering associated energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The use of 100% scrap requires stringent quality control to ensure that alloy composition, impurity levels, and material homogeneity meet the specifications required for high-performance extrusion. This extrusion process ensures precise dimensional accuracy, superior surface quality, and the ability to incorporate multiple functional features—such as channels, fins, or screw ports—within a single profile.
