FRP Gratings

M.M. gratings are components made from FRP composite materials (fiber-reinforced polymers),

specifically with glass fiber. They are produced in a wide variety of formats and configurations to

provide versatile and immediate solutions to the most diverse plant and structural requirements.

Their field of application can be very varied; among the main uses are walkways, service and walking

platforms, channel covers and discharge pits, electrical protection panels, and steps. The use of

fiberglass ensures high resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents, lightness, a high strength-to-

weight ratio, and ease of installation. Specifically, the product under analysis is a fiberglass grating

compliant with the technical specifications of the European standard EN 13706.
