Lightweight premix concrete 1400

The products included in this EPD are pre-mixed lightweight structural concretes, supplied in bags, designed for structural applications in civil construction where reduced self-weight is required. They are composed of cementitious binders, siliceous aggregates, and lightweight aggregates based on expanded clay. Depending on the formulation, may include binders with recycled content and reduced CO₂ emissions in compliance with Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM). 

In the hardened state, the concretes typically have a density of about 1,400 kg/m³, a characteristic compressive strength of approximately 25 MPa, and mechanical performance suitable for lightweight structural applications. Compared to traditional concrete, they allow a significant reduction in in-place mass. Some formulations also provide lower thermal conductivity due to the presence of expanded clay aggregates. They are characterized by non-combustibility (Euroclass A1). 

The application fields cover different construction needs, including structural lightweight concrete works for slab strengthening and consolidation, both in new construction and renovation, where reduced self-weight and structural performance are required.
