Micro Gold Steel

The product included in this EPD is a bi‑component, pre‑mixed high performance fibre‑reinforced cementitious mortar (HPFRC), supplied as a kit composed of dry premixed mortar bags and a box of steel fibres, designed for structural strengthening and repair of concrete elements.

It is composed of a hydraulic cementitious premix (Part A) and metallic steel fibres (Part B), which, after the addition of water and proper mixing on site, form a highly fluid, highly ductile mortar with enhanced post‑cracking tensile properties. The product is formulated to provide strong adhesion to existing concrete substrates, high ductility, and durability, with strain‑hardening behaviour that increases residual tensile strength beyond initial cracking. Typical compressive strength at 28 days is ≥ 100 MPa and elastic modulus in compression ≥ 42 GPa, consistent with high‑performance structural repair materials.

The product is suitable for low‑thickness applications (approximately 20–50 mm) such as jacketing and thin overlays on beams, columns, walls, and other reinforced concrete elements, including collaborating topping layers on slabs, bridge decks, tunnel linings, and special industrial pavements. It is non‑combustible and classified as Euroclass A1 for reaction to fire.
