QCGlass Rainscreen Façade

The QCGlass façade system is a rainscreen panel system composed mainly of glass. Rainscreens employ layered façade construction with an outer cladding, a ventilated and drained cavity, thermal insulation, and a water-resistive backing wall. The outer cladding acts as the primary rain barrier. The ventilated cavity equalises pressure and allows drainage and evaporation of infiltrated moisture.

Rainscreen façades separate weather protection from thermal insulation, improving hygrothermal performance, reducing condensation risk, and enhancing durability. QCfaçades rainscreen systems deliver resilient, low-maintenance solutions that enable sophisticated architectural designs and support a wide range of finishes. They are also engineered to accommodate structural movement; resist wind loads; and meet fire, acoustic, and thermal performance requirements.
