Hot-Rolled (HR) Products, Rourkela Steel Plant-Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL)

Hot-Rolled (HR) products produced at the Steel Authority of India Limited - Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) are flat steel products manufactured from carbon and low-alloy steels through an integrated blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steelmaking route, followed by continuous casting and hot rolling in the hot strip mill. HR products are characterised by uniform thickness, good formability, high mechanical strength, and cost-efficient production, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial and structural applications.
