Biophalt® binder

The product assessed is BIOPHALT®, a plant-based binder developed by Eiffage Route, holder of a patent, and manufactured and marketed by Eiffage Route. It is intended for asphalt production, derived from pine-based materials and, more specifically, by-products from the pulp and paper industry.

BIOPHALT® is labelled “Biobased Product” by Karibati (label # FR/15/07/20/91). This label provides transparency and visibility on the biomass content in construction products and offers a clear guarantee that Biophalt contains 91% biobased material.
