Steel ingots produced via electric arc furnace in alloyed form, thermally treated

Alloyed thermally treated steel ingots manufactured at the NLMK Italia plant in Verona via the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route. Ingots are available in cross-sectional dimensions ranging from 400 mm to 2,200 mm, and are characterised by close dimensional tolerances, excellent straightness and roundness, sound surface quality, and low decarburisation depth, making them well suited for forging and machining applications. Primary steelmaking inputs include ferrous scrap, ferro-alloys, coal, graphite electrodes, fuels, oxygen, and auxiliary consumables. Scrap is melted in the EAF, refined and alloyed in the ladle furnace, and cast. The steel is subsequently subjected to thermal treatment to enhance mechanical and metallurgical performance in accordance with customer requirements.
