BILLETS FROM CONTINUOUS CASTING

The product under study is a semi-finished steel billet manufactured through the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route, primarily using recycled steel scrap as input material. The EAF process involves the melting of metallic charge through electric energy, followed by refining and casting operations. The billet is subsequently solidified in a continuous casting process, ensuring controlled chemical composition and uniform mechanical properties suitable for downstream rolling and forming applications.
