Solar Gard® Low-E films

This EPD describes the environmental impact of 1 m² of installed Solar Gard Ecolux low-E films and Silver AG series. These products have a warranty period of 16 years for ECOLUX 70 and 12 years for SILVER AG series. Warranty is subject to conditions. Up to date information can be found on www.solargard.eu. The expected average service life longer provided that the specified conditions for installation, use and maintenance are followed.

This EPD covers 3 products, ECOLUX 70, SILVER AG50 and SILVER AG25. The reference product for the group of products covered in this EPD is Solar Gard ECOLUX 70.

ECOLUX 70 has an emissivity of 0,09 which allows to improve the U-value of a standard single pane of clear glass (4 mm) by 40%. In addition, ECOLUX 70 has a total solar energy rejection (TSER) of 51% on single glass and 48% on an insulated glass unit (IGU) consisting of 2 standard clear panes which makes it a solution for all seasons. The Infrared Energy rejected (IRER) is 69% on single clear glass.

All products meet Class A+ (Volatile Organic Compounds – VOC) tested according to EN ISO 16000 2,3 (2011) and 5,6 (2012) and meet 13238B-s1, d0 (Reaction to fire - European Construction Products Directive/EN SBI 13238).
