The 64 formats included in this EPD cover ceramic tiles belonging to groups AIa and AIb(extruded stoneware tiles), classification based on standard EN 14411:2016 (equivalent to ISO13006:2018). The water absorption of the tiles is below 0.5% for AIa and between 0.5-3% for AIb, and their forming process is by extrusion.

The stoneware extruded tiles included in the study cover different models with differentsizes. The formats included in the scope of this EPD vary between 16 kg/m²and 64kg/m², with a production-weighted average weight of 28 kg/m².

The results presented are representative of ceramic tiles, expressed as a production-weighted average of tiles belonging to groups AIa and AIb, used both as floor (indoor and outdoor) and facade coverings.
