Being updated - Finished bovine, ovine, and caprine leather

This PCR was under open consultation from 2025-02-11 until 2025-04-10.

2025-05-19 The validity period of the current version (3.X.X) was prolonged with 6 months due to the delay with the PCR updating process.

2024-05-28 an updating process was initiated to prolong the validity of the PCR with another 4 years, align with GPI 5, and expand the scope to include finishedbovine, ovine and caprine leather (covering subsets of UN CPC 2912 and 2913). Upon this initiation, the validity period of the current version (3.X.X) was prolonged with one year.

Publication is expected for Q1 2026.

This document (version 3.0.5) provides Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of "Finished bovine leather", within the UN CPC product class 2912 "Other leather, of bovine or equine animals, without hair on" and the declaration of this performance by an EPD.
