The development of this PCR was initiated 2025-11-12. The open consultation, planned to start in Q4 2025, will start with an e-mail invitation to identified stakeholders. Any stakeholder is welcome to provide comments on the draft PCR.
The publication is expected in Q1/Q2 2026. Dates are preliminary and subject to change.

This document will provide Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of nonwovens corresponding to UN CPC 27922 Nonwovens and the declaration of this performance by an EPD.
The PCR will covers all types of nonwovens used in filtration, absorbent hygiene, geosynthetics, automotive, medical, agriculture, garments, electronics and many more products, with the exception of nonwoven products from the textile sector.
