Applications open for individual verifiers 2027 listing

The Secretariat of the International EPD System (IES) invites competent and experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) experts to apply as verifiers, contributing their expertise to the EPD verification process in the IES between September 14 and October 31, 2026.
The International EPD System (IES) is inviting qualified and experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) experts to apply to become approved individual verifiers for the 2027 listing.
Applications are open from 14 September to 31 October 2026 and are submitted through the application form on IES Individual verifier application page.
Individual verifiers play an important role in the independent third-party verification and quality assurance of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) published within the International EPD System. As demand for credible and transparent environmental product information continues to grow, the IES is seeking competent LCA professionals who can contribute to maintaining the quality and reliability of published EPDs.
Applicants must meet the applicable competence and experience requirements set out in Section 5.10.1 of the General Programme Instructions (GPI). The application process considers areas such as LCA and critical review experience, knowledge of relevant EPD standards and Programme requirements, and competence in the product sectors in which the applicant intends to perform verification.
Approved applicants receive onboarding from the Secretariat and become part of the IES verifier network. They receive the bimonthly Verifier Memo with informational and educational updates, and are invited to the annual verifier meeting, supporting them in staying informed about Programme developments and maintaining their competence.
An administration fee of EUR 150, excluding VAT where applicable, applies to each application. The fee covers administration and assessment of the application and does not guarantee approval.
Qualified LCA experts are welcome to apply during the application period.
