Product Variants and Applications
• AWS SFA-5.1 E7018: Designed to create crack-free welded joints with excellent toughness, even on steels with up to 0.4% carbon. It has a high metal recovery rate of approximately 120% and performs well in all welding positions. The weld metal maintains its toughness at temperatures as low as -40°C, making it suitable for buffer layers on high-carbon steels. The electrode has also been tested and is able to resist moisture absorption for up to 12 hours.
• AWS SFA-5.1 E7018M: Produces tough, crack-free, and X-ray quality welds on steels with up to 0.6% carbon. The weld metal has very low hydrogen content, is resistant to aging, and maintains its toughness down to -60°C. It's known for its excellent arc stability, smooth performance, easy slag removal, and good gap-bridging properties. It's also moisture-resistant for up to 12 hours.
• ZULFI E9018-G: Designed for crack-free, X-ray quality welds with good impact toughness down to -40°C. Suitable for grain-refined, quenched and tempered (Q&T), and high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels used in structural fabrication, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• ZULFI E10018-G: Offers extremely low hydrogen content and high metallurgical purity. Ensures weld integrity at temperatures down to -60°C. Commonly used in structural, pressure-containing, and critical infrastructure components.
• ZULFI E10018M: Intended for higher-strength steels exceeding 100,000 psi tensile strength. Moisture-resistant coating reduces risk of hydrogen-induced cracking. Used in high-grade rebar, structural, and pressure vessel welding.
• ZULFI E11018-G: Produces X-ray quality welds with excellent low-temperature toughness (to -50°C). Applicable for Q&T, HSLA, and grain-refined steels in structural and pressure-related assemblies.
• ZULFI E11018M: Recommended for welding low-alloy steels with a minimum tensile strength of 110 ksi (760 MPa). Suitable for pressure vessels, automotive components, and mobile machinery with exposure to dynamic loads.
• ZULFI E12018-G: A basic, all-position low-hydrogen electrode designed for ultra-high strength steels (up to 835 N/mm² UTS), including T1 and HY 100. Provides reliable performance in offshore and structurally demanding environments.
Of all the aforementioned product variations, E11018M has the highest environmental impacts due to a slightly higher composition of Manganese and Nickle. This is an EPD of multiple products, based on the worst-case results.
