VALFRUTTA Chickpeas

Valfrutta Chickpeas are Italian chickpeas with a firm and full-bodied consistency, processed with extreme care to obtain an appetizing and rich in taste product. Without preservatives, naturally boiled, they come from our fields, in Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Sicily, Sardinia, Puglia.

The ingredients are: chickpeas, water, salt and anti-oxidant: ascorbic acid.

The cultivation of chickpea is carried out entirely in Italy (Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Sicily, Sardinia, Puglia.) on a total area of approximately 2,700 hectares. Sowing, to optimize the result, is scheduled from December to March, with harvesting starting during the summer (June September). The Conserve Italia staff sets the sowing plans and subsequently, with the help of cooperatives or valid subcontractors, collects the product when it has a humidity of 10-12%. The machines used for harvesting are the classic grain threshers, or axial combine harvesters, on which simple changes are made, in order to reduce product losses in the field and above all the percentage of split product.
